What's the best frequency for civil walkie talkies?

Civil walkie talkie refers to a walkie talkie with a transmitting power of 0.5W and no more than 1W and a frequency range of 409mhz. Generally speaking, the civil walkie talkie has a short communication distance (3 kilometers in an open area) and is a wireless communication device that can be used without a license approved by the state. The civil walkie talkie is small in size, diverse in color and low in price, which is more suitable for personal business trip, tourism and restaurant use.

The frequency of civil interphone is between 400-470MHz (U segment) and 136-174mhz (V segment). The communication distance of the walkie talkie is related to the environment in which the walkie talkie is used. The electric ZD and magnetic wavelengths of U / V section machines are different, and the loss during transmission is also different. Because there are many buildings in the city, it is relatively better to use U section (400-470MHz) walkie talkie; if the environment is relatively open, such as sea, wilderness, etc., V section (136-174mhz) walkie talkie is relatively better.
